Italy is our favorite holiday country.
For years, I go with my wife and dogs to this beautiful country.
Why do we like Italy?
Basically, Italy is having all what you want to have for a perfect holiday. You have the very small villages, the nature is loverly. In north Italy you have the mountains, along the coast nice beaches and cliffs. In winter, excellent skiing opportunities, in summer nice weather and each province has its beauty. Next you have the big cities where you need to go to like Venice, Florence, Bologna, Rome. Finally, the food is so good. Pizza’s, pastas, tagliate, expresso.

In the heart of beautiful Tuscany, where the sun-drenched hills form a picturesque backdrop, we witnessed a special moment in nature. This beautifully colored bee-eater, with its vibrant blue and yellow hues, is here patiently feeding a hungry chick. It's a scene that perfectly captures the essence of the natural cycle and the beauty of parenthood. This holiday in Tuscany will stay with us for a long time because of this.

An impressive rain shower is coming over....
In Loro Cuiffenna (Italie), we saw this shower building up. A few days before, there was a very local shower with hail stones of 3 cm. A lot of damage to the olive and wine trees. Lasted just for 30 minutes and very local. We were just 30 km to the north and just had a few rain drops. This show is big and youc an see the rain. Now, here in Loro, we just had a few rain drops but very impressive to see.

Tuscane is very beautiful. One of the famous roads is cypresse road. This is a long lane having on its side the cypresses. The grains have been harvested recently , which gives the grain fields a beautiful colour. Due to the sunset, the cypresses have a nice shade.

Driving through Tuscane is a pleasure. You see lots of wine fields and olive trees. At this location, the fields line up perfectly.

Wat we allang wisten, is dat Toscane een prachtig mooi gebied is in Italië. Ondanks dat we al jaren in de zomer naar dat gebied gaan op vakantie, lukt het ons toch nog elke keer weer een nieuw gedeelte te ontdekken. Aan de SP146 vind je de "Panoramic View : Cappella Vitaleta, Val d'Orcia". Een populaire plek waar heel veel auto's stoppen om deze mooie lokatie vast te leggen. Die dag was het zonnig en de zon scheen mooi op de laan en de achterliggende gebouwen. Tevens werden de heuvels mooi belicht. Echt een indrukwekkend uitzicht in het mooi Italië.

Net ten zuiden van Bagno Vigno Vignoni aan de SR2 vind je deze prachtige cipresse laan in hartje Toscane. Dit is echt één van de mooiste gebieden in Italië. Van Pienza naar San Quirico d'Orcia is een bekende route, maar deze lokatie is echt mooi. Ook Bagno Vignoni is zeker een bezoekje waard. Deze foto is tijdens zonsondergang genomen tijdens het gouden uur. Hierdoor komen de cipressen mooi tot hun recht maar ook de granen. Beetje bewolkte dag wat ik persoonlijk erg mooi vind.

Een populaire plek waar heel veel auto's stoppen om deze mooie lokatie vast te leggen. Die dag was het zonnig, bewolkt en dreigende wolken waren veelvuldig aanwezig en wat een mooie compositie maakt. De laan komt mooi naar voren uit en kasteel wordt mooi belicht.
